Calling Evil Good and Good Evil
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…”
~ Isaiah 5:20a
Warnings are important. Slippery when Wet, Road out Ahead, Stop! If we don’t pay attention, something bad will almost certainly happen.
I chose this scripture because it is a warning that applies to all people from the beginning, to the end of time.
When certain people call evil good and good evil it’s quite sad.
When a group of people does it, say, at a convention, it’s alarming.
When a nation does it, well, it’s the end.
I am not as pessimistic as some of my faithful friends about the condition of the heart ofAmericaas a whole, but I must concur, we are heading in the wrong direction to be sure.
We cannot cave to the temptation to call evil good in the interest of being all inclusive and at the same time preserve our integrity.
We cannot call a lie the truth and the truth a lie and think we will survive for very long.
We cannot sit idly by while people call good evil and think that will not impact permeate the young hearts and minds of our family and friends.
Truth matters and it’s usually pretty simple.
Paul tells us God chose the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.
Even a child understands the difference between a truth and a lie…and they are not afraid to say it out loud.
We can learn a lot from the pure simple heart of a child.
On this beautiful Sunday morning, I pray for your, your family and our nation to heed the warnings and remember the importance of simple truth.

Grace and peace to you my friends.
Godspeed
